The Hiding Spot...

Like i said before, Paxton loves tents, huts, hiding spots. Pretty much any little place his body can fit in, he'll hide there and he is so good at "being quiet" when he is hiding from me. Sometimes it's a bad thing:) He'll take all his favorite toys in there with him, i just love it. His favorite toys are still his mickey mouse ones. Ever since we went to disney world he is obsessed...looks like we need to head back!

Paxton is such a little boy. He loves anything creepy crawly, whether its lizards, frogs, he even likes to squish a bug with toilet paper and then go flush it down the toilet! I don't mind most of it. He likes lizards the most i think, Daniel caught him one and he carried that thing around for well over an hour. Poor lizard. There is a grassy area next to a market we go to that is just crawling with frogs, It's one of Paxton's favorite places to go, The other night we blew up some water balloons and went and threw them at the frogs, that was a big hit with Pac, i'll post the pictures as soon as i upload them on to my computer. He also gathered up as many as he could find and loaded up his pockets with them, so gross!

The Seed...

It's been a few weeks since my last post, the internet out here hasn't been working and it's been driving me CRAZY! After bugging and bugging the front desk about it they finally got off their lazy butts and did something about it! So, its fixed...for now.

All i have to say is Paxton sure does keep me on my toes. Every day i wake up and wonder "what's it gonna be today?" I guess thats what i get for having a boy. I love him to pieces, but he sure can get my adrenaline going. This one night a couple weeks ago was no exception.

Paxton wants to be just like his dad, in every single way. If he see's daniel doing something he thinks he can do it too. Daniel loves sunflower seeds, he eats them all the time, so Paxton thinks he needs to eat them too. He's actually pretty good at it, he'll eat one at a time, chew it up, and then go spit out the seeds in the garbage. It's really cute. Paxton was eating them one night and i noticed that he coughed, and kind of made a choking noise and then he was fine. We didn't think anything of it until a couple minutes later when he told us his nose hurt. We didn't think it was a big deal, just thought he had a booger. So Daniel lays him down and looks in his nose, his response was "OH MY HELL", thats not what i was expecting to hear. I asked what was wrong and he told me there was a sunflower seed UP HIS NOSE!! and i mean ALL the way up there! You could see the very end of it. I freaked! I guess when he had coughed the seed went from his throat to his nose. poor kid!! We tried EVERYTHING to get that seed out, we tried tweezers, sucking it out, vacuuming it out,yes with a vacuum. we tried to make him sneeze by having him sniff pepper and smoke, he did sneeze but no luck with the seed. After a few hours of this we decided to take him to the E.R. We were afraid of him getting a bad sinus infection from it and it was 11 p.m and didnt want him going to sleep with it up his nose. We waited in the waiting room for an hour when he started sneezing. i looked up his nose and noticed that the seed has moved down a little and was low enough that it started tickling his nose. He sneezed again and BAM that thing shot out like a rocket!! We were SOOOO relieved. I was not looking forward to a doctor strapping him down and getting it out. Here are some pictures of our attempts of getting it out and then the seed after it came out. That sucker was HUGE! i have no idea how it physically fit up his little nose, it had to of been so uncomfortable! Poor little kid.

The Job...

We have been here in Samoa for two months now. The boys work so hard everyday and you can really tell. So much has changed and i just have to say that i am so proud of daniel for being such a hard worker. He hurt his leg a couple weeks ago. He tore his MCL ligament in his knee. Every night he ices it, elevaltes it, sleeps with pillows under his knee, wears a special brace, and takes medicine, and he STILL goes to work with out complaining at all. I know he must be hurting so bad. I'm so grateful for such a hard working husband!!

Movie Night...

Almost every night daniel and i watch a movie together before going to bed. Its just nice to relax and hang out, especially after he has had a long hard day at work. We go to the little movie store we have here and rent a movie, and of course Paxton gets to rent a movie too. He loves looking at all the movies and picking out his own. He feels like a big boy. This is him enjoying his movie and popcorn in his bed. He does really good and stays in his own bed for about 1/2 to 3/4 of the movie. It gives daniel and I some alone time even though Paxton is in the same room. Its a fun little tradition we have here and we all love it.

Surprise visit to St. George...

On August 18th Paxton and I flew back home to St. George with my dad and sister. It was Kelcie's birthday on the 17th and my moms was coming up on the 21st. My mom knew that my dad and sister were coming home but had no idea that paxton and i were too. We were going to surprise her for her birthday. It was a long 21 hours until we were finally home but it was all worth it seeing the look on my mom's face when she saw us! She was SHOCKED. Its so great when surprised actually come through and work. It was a fun filled week that consisted of eating, and playing! I cant believe i only took pictures on the day we took paxton to " jump in jacks". He was such a big boy and did all the huge slides. He loved it and i did too. It was so good to be home, even if it was just for a week. I felt like i had never left. I miss my family so much and can't wait to see them again!

Ok, So i know i have a lot of catching up to do! I cant believe it has been an entire month since my last post. That is just crazy to me. Time has gone by so fast. It so cute how Paxton wants to be and do everything just like his dad.

Living in a hotel you have to get created to keep a toddler entertained. So the other day i built him a hut under our computer table and put his little dvd player in there. Right now he is really into mickey mouse movies and toy story. So he watched toy story with all of his mickey mouse toys. It was so fun to peek in at him.

All last week the weather was so nice and sunny and then saturday comes and of course it rained all day long! The one day the guys have off work. So, after not doing anything all day we were all dying to get out and do SOMETHING. We had heard from a local about this cool restaurant down on the beach so we got in the cars and headed that way. When we got there we found out that it was not a restaurant but a bar. Lets just say the people there weren't the kind of people i wanted around Paxton. The smoking and drinking was to much to handle, it was just not a comfortable situation, so back in the car we went. We ended up at the hotel us girls bike to almost everyday and use their beach. We decided to try out there restaurant and we were not disappointed! The food was delicious! We will be heading back there for sure one of these nights!

The other day Daniel surprised Paxton with a dump truck toy, a hard hat, and a little shovel and rake. Paxton was excited to say the least! He loves that he has a work hat just like dad's. He wants to be just like his dad and i'm so glad. The hat is a little big but he will just have to grow into it.

The other night daniel found a gecko outside our hotel room. Paxton has always called lizards "alligators" and this time was no exception! At first he was a little nervous to hold it but warmed up really fast! By the time it was time to let it go he didnt want to! He would have kept it forever! I was amazed at how soft Paxton was with it, he never tried to squeeze it. He would pet its little head, it was seriously so sweet. I love how daniel is always finding him little animals to play with. He's such a good dad! I remember when i was little my dad would always bring animals home with him from work. I would get so excited and i think that is how i grew to love animals so much. I'm so glad that daniel is doing the same thing with Paxton:)

Church...

I really like the church that we go to. Luckily the english branch is pretty close to our hotel, there are only 2 or 3 on the whole island and they are on the other side. The church building is a big square but the middle of it is wide open with grass and plants, its really cool. Us white people make up probably 1/4 of the whole branch so they love having us here! I'm just waiting for them to ask us to speak, i know its just a matter of time.

Today we needed to do some laundry so we decided to go do it later in the day when its a lot cooler since the place doesnt have air conditioning. We put our clothes in the washer and headed down the street to the park so Paxton could play and not be cooped up in the laundry mat for two hours!! poor kid is already in the hotel enough, so a little fresh air was really nice! He loves going to the park and he had a blast at this one! He is getting so big, he can do pretty much everything all by himself. He even goes down the slide all alone, usually he wants to hold someones hand but not anymore!! I wish time would slow down, its fun seeing him grow and get more and more independent but i know one of these days i'm going to wake up and he'll be all grown up. I love him so much and i'm so grateful that he chose me to be his mom!

Buried Boy

Today at the beach daniel and landon buried paxton in the sand. i thought he was going to hate it and cry but he LOVED it! he kept saying "more, more" and so they would bury him deeper and deeper. It was so much fun and the weather was perfect! Paxton doesnt like being at the beach during the middle of the day because he says its "too hot" and he's right! so today we went at like 4:30 and it was great!!

Paxton cracks me up everyday, he does the silliest things! Today he kept saying "CHEESE" really loud and then would give me the goofiest little smile. I seriously love him so much!

Friday was laundry day this week. Last week we did it on a saturday and i felt like we spent the guys whole day off doing laundry, so this week us girls attempted to do all the laundry by ourselves which is not an easy task considering we have to load it all up and drive it to the laundry mat. I did mine, Daniel's, Paxton's, and Landon's so that he didnt have to do his saturday, so i had five loads. Kaitlyn also had five loads because she did my dad's and Mallory and Olivia had two or three. I felt like we took up every washer and dryer in the whole place.

Us girls, we were SOOO hot while doing laundry. There is no A.C in the laundry mat, plus with 40 dryers going all at the same time you can only imagine what it felt like. We were all so sweaty. We decided to take the laundry back to the hotel to fold it, we didn't want to be there for one second longer.

There are two types of washers here, one is $1.50 which has hot water, and the other is $1.00 which doesn't have hot water. All of the dryers are $1.00 so we are able to do laundry for $5.00. I kind of like only doing laundry once a week, its nice doing all of the loads at once.

Today on the guy's day off we all hoped in the car and drove until we found a beach that we liked. The guys snorkled of course and us girls hung out at the beach. The sand at the beach was amazing!! It was so soft and had absolutely no rocks. It looked like it had gold and diamond pieces in it.

Paxton is not even two yet and he knows how to work our ipad better than i do!! I ask HIM how to do things on it and he shows me without even thinking twice! i love how smart he is, but sometimes he is to smart for his own good:)

He loves watching movies on his own personal little t.v. He would seriously watch movies all day if i would let him. I limit him on how much he is allowed to watch because it cant be healthy staring at a screen all day. Every night before bed me and daniel watch a movie in our bed and paxton watches a movie in his little bed on his little t.v. I think him settling down and laying in bed and just relaxing before he actually goes to sleep helps him sleep at night because he has been doing so good! Usually either daniel or I have to lay with him until he goes to sleep or else he has a panic attack, he doesnt like to be alone, but ever since we have been doing this new routine we havent had to do that and it has been SOOOO nice!!

Bike Rides

I am so glad that we all decided to bring our bikes out here! its so much fun being able to take our bikes to the beach, its a lot faster than walking. its a great work out too! Paxton loves riding in his seat and he gets so excited when i tell him we are going to go for a ride.

Today at the beach Paxton told me there was an alligator in the tree. (he calls lizards alligators). when i looked for it i couldn't see it anywhere, i asked him "where'd it go?" and he told me that it "flied away". hmmmm...i think he was just telling me a good story? he cracks me up with the things that he comes up with. Then he told me that pa will catch him an alligator after work. i love that little man!!

Today we rode our bikes to the beach and hung out for a little while. Paxton kept telling me it was "too hot" and that he wanted to go home so we didn't stay for long today. He is so weird sometimes, he'd rather sit in our little hotel room and watch his mickey mouse movies than be playing outside at the beach!! he is crazy! I love it here!

American Samoa

First of all i know that i am the worst blogger ever, its been an entire year since my last post, but my goal is to do better! i want to have a new post done everyday so my family back home can see what we are up to.
Last week my little family moved to American Samoa for a job that the company is doing. I was so nervous to move all the way out here in the Pacific Ocean, but so far so good!! I absolutely love it here, its going to be hard for me to go back home! Even the flights went good, i always stress about flying with Paxton but this trip i was extra worried about. On Friday we left St. George and stayed the night in Vegas, we woke up early and caught our 6 hour flight to Oahu, Hawaii. We stayed on the island for two nights to give Paxton a break from traveling and to have some fun! it was crazy to be back on Oahu, I felt like i had never left. Then on monday afternoon we took another 6 hour flight to samoa. after landing and going through customs and immigrations we FINALLY made it!

This island is beautiful and it is so fun having friends to hang out with! we go for bike rides, hang out at the beach, and just have a good time together. its so awesome that we all get along so good and we are such good friends. I seriously have the best life!! Everyone we have met so far seems to be so nice and giving, and they all LOVE Paxton. The people here aren't used to seeing a little white boy with blonde hair! They all think he is just the cutest thing ever(which he is).

Paxton is a true "samoan" already! he goes everywhere in just a swimming suit! No shirt or shoes required and he loves it! He has a blast playing in the "Big Sand Box" and swimming in the "Big Pool". I love just watching him as he plays and i can just see him soaking everything up around him. He is so lucky to have traveled and lived in so many unique places in his short little life. I'm grateful that me and him are able to travel with Daniel when he works, it would be so hard to be away and miss out on all these crazy adventures!

The other day while exploring we stopped at a beach and the boys did some snorkeling. They found hundreds of these blue star fish and Paxton loved holding them. It was fun to see the boys all hanging out together and having boy time while the girls layed at the beach. I seriously am so happy that we are ALL such good friends! it makes it not seem like work but more like just a big vacation! The only thing that would make it better is if my mom and sister were here, i miss them so much!!

Walking!

Last night Daniel and I were practicing walking with Paxton. He's been so close for so long but didn't really have any interest in it. He can get where he is going much quicker by crawling, so why walk? Well, we decided to get super excited if he tried to do it last night, and HE DID!!! He would get so proud of himself when he would take a step or two and by the end of the night he had taken 12 steps all by himself! We couldn't believe it! He's only 9 months! He turns 10 months on the 20th, but It still counts as him walking at 9!! I love my little guy and I am so proud of him!! I'll post pictures when i have more time!

This last weekend we took Paxton to the city pool here in illinois, he loves the water! "uncle Dean" and "Aunt Mallory" came too! It was so fun, and it wasn't crowded at all! It's our new favorite place to be!

Paxton is 9 months!!!
Where the heck has the time gone! Paxton turned 9 months on the 20th of June! CRAZY!! He is getting so big! He's going to be walking in no time, i know he would be able to do it if wanted, but he's able to get where he's going much faster by just crawling. He went to his 9 month check up a little early because we were visiting St. George and i really like his pediatrician. When we went they took his stats...he's 75% in height and 3% in weight haha so pretty much he's tall and skinny?? i guess thats better than short and fat?! He is just so active he burns off all his calories. We love him so dang much, his personality is the best! I don't know what we would do with out him!!! He now has 4 teeth, 2 on the top and 2 on the bottom and he can bite HARD!! I'll just be sitting on the couch and he'll crawl over and bite my toe! he cracks me up!

Last saturday we went to the aquarium. Paxton was FASCINATED with all the fish! He would get so mad when we would leave a tank to go to a different one, he would throw a little fit! He would have stood there and looked at them all day if we would have let him!

The other day Paxton was being way to quiet, but i knew he was over in the corner where his toys were so i didn't think to much about it, a few minutes later he still hadn't made a peep, which is so not like him, so i decided to go see what he was up to. When i walked over this is what i discovered! 29 wipes scattered out all over! I said "Paxton, WHAT ARE YOU DOING!!" he just looked up at me with the biggest smile on his face and lifted his arms up to me like he wanted to be picked up! I wasn't mad, i was just surprised! i knew he would start being naughty like this one day, i just didn't know that day would be so soon!!

One of Paxton's favorite things to do is to play inside of the coffee table, He's getting so much better when he gets down, before he would pretty much just fall out and would hit his head about 90% of the time. whenever i haven't seen him for a couple minutes i know where to find him! in the coffee table is where he is!!

My dad has a boat that he uses for work, but sometimes on the weekend our family likes to take it up the chicago river, it's so much fun!! it's so cool to see all of the big buildings and it's even more fun since we don't have to fight crowds to do it!! no one is ever on the river so its much more enjoyable that feeling claustrophobic with all people! Paxton loves it, he mostly likes it when daniel holds him over the boat and hangs his feet in the water while we're going!! It makes me a little nervous but if he's happy i'm happy!!

Paxton LOVES to go swimming! It's seriously his favorite thing to do, he is a little fish!! It's nice that he loves to swim because it's so hot outside its torture to be out unless your cooling off in a pool! There is a city pool that we have been going to here in illinois, every time we go, everyone has to stop us and tell me how cute he is!

I had my 22nd birthday on June 15th! I LOVE birthdays! i think i should have one every month! It's nice to feel special and have a day to celebrate! I got a beautiful vase of flowers delivered to be in the morning from daniel, they were so pretty and they smelled so good! Later Daniel was able to get off work early so we could do dinner and a movie! My mom watched Paxton so it was just us two! it was so much fun!

*7 Months Old*

Paxton turned 7 months on the 20th of this month, Where has the time gone? I'm sure all mom's think highly of their children but i swear paxton is advanced for his age. he's been able to sit up and crawl for a couple months, but now he'll crawl over to the couch, his bucket of toys, pretty much anything he can reach and use it to help him stand up. It freaks me out, i always think he'll fall and hit his head. He is so dang cute and he makes us so happy! I don't know what i would do with out this little man. He means the world to me!!

I do have to say this because i am very proud of myself. While i was pregnant i ended up gaining a total of 43 pounds, yes i was freakin fat, well i have lost all that weight plus some! I've lost about 50 pounds!! Nursing really has done wonders, i blame my weight loss on that since i haven't worked out once.

Most of you know we moved to Chicago, Illinois about 2 weeks ago and i really am loving it here. Everyone we have met has been so nice. It's beautiful here, and where we live is super safe. The day we moved here daniel lost his wallet at the train station, we called our bank and cancelled credit cards and we were freaking out, a week later we got a call from the station saying someone turned it in, goes to show there really are good people out there! we felt blessed.

SUCH A BIG BOY!!
Paxton is now FOUR MONTHS OLD! Where has the time gone? I can't believe he has been here with me for that long already. I am so blessed to have such an amazing little guy in my life. I love him and can't get enough. He is my life, and i don't know what I would do without him!

Things to Remember at 4 months
* He can roll over, from tummy to back
* He can sit up almost all on his own
* When standing he bears all his weight, he puts one foot in front of the other and walks with help. If he could balance he'd do it on his own.
* He smiles every time he looks at me or his dad, he adores our dog nitro.
* Bath time is his favorite
*I can't believe how big he is getting, he is the cutest thing in the whole world, my life would be empty without him

So many things to be thankful for!

i know its been forever since our last post, I've just been so busy being a mommy i haven't gotten around to posting anything, but it being the holiday season i must share all that i am thankful for.
After paxton was born i had so much help from everyone, now that we've moved away and i'm responsible for this little guy 13 hours a day ALL BY myself i realize how much i took the help forgranted. I want to tell everyone thank you so much for your help!! It means the world to me!
I'm so grateful i was able to have my family here for thanksgiving! we had SOO much fun! i love them so much and i dont know what i would do with out them! They have been there for me no matter what and i know if i ever need anything all i have to do is ask.
I feel so blessed that i have such an amazing husband! He has always been there for me. Before paxton was born he would come to every doctor appointment and tried to be as involved as possible with the pregnancy, i know some husbands dont do that and im so grateful he wanted to. It was nice knowing that no matter what happened someone would always be there by my side. I'm thankful that he is such a hard worker and he is willing to provide for Paxton and I. He works so hard so that i don't have to so i can stay home with our baby. He is my best friend and i love him so much. The last three years of my life have been the best i could ever ask for.
I'm thankful that god has given me the opportunity to care for this sweet little guy. Having the opportunity to carry him for 9 months and to have him come into the world being as healthy as he is, is truely the best blessing! He has brought more love and meaning into my life than i ever thought would be possible. I seriouly love him so much and my love for him grows everyday.
I'm so grateful for our little dog nitro, she is so funny and i swear she's not a dog, she's a person in dog clothing!! i love her so much!! we've had her for just over a year and i cant imagine my life without her!

Our little guy is so funny! It was so windy at the beach so i put this little hat on him so the wind wouldnt blow in is ears, then it was so bright outside so i put these sunglasses on him, totally expecting him to hate them and cry...but no, he LOVED them! he wore them for like 20 min. He jus sat there and looked around at everything. He cracks me up! He's getting so big, the days go by faster and faster. time flys when your having fun!

PAXTON REECE BRYNER

After a long day of jet skiing Paxton decided ITS TIME! He was born September 20, 2009 at 2:57 p.m weighing in at 7 lbs 1 oz. We couldn't be happier and we're loving every minute of parenthood.
